The registration paper is an important document and needed for almost every official application.
	The German tax system differs to many other countries in that taxes are collected locally and not nationally. The Town Hall registration is required for the local Inland Revenue Service to issue a tax card. The Relocation Consultant will apply for Town Hall registration and a valid tax card on behalf of the transferee. The Town Hall registration document will then be given back to the transferee and the tax card forwarded to your payroll department.
